Radio & Observers Course – 12th March 2022

If you aren’t a great in the water and would still like to assist with patrols this is the course for you!
Our dedicated Group of Radio Operators are always looking for new members to join their team.

SCB Silver Medallion Beach Management Course – 19/03/2022 (SCB Building)

South Coast Branch is running a Silver Medallion Beach Management on Saturday 8:30am 19/3/2022 at the South Coast Branch Building at Mermaid Beach.

You must hold a current Bronze and be 17yr of age.

This is one of the prerequisites required it you wish to do you Gold Medallion Advanced Lifesaving.

All members who are 18 years old or over, MUST hold a valid Blue Card.

Download our Help document and follow the steps to apply for a new Blue Card, or link your existing Blue Card to the club.

Lifesaver Training Courses

Point Lookout SLSC Surf Rescue Certificate

This course provides participants with skills and knowledge of surf awareness, aquatic rescue operations and resuscitation in order to participate in lifesaving operations and act in the role of Water Safety Personnel.

Point Lookout SLSC Bronze Medallion

The Bronze Medallion course provides participants with the skills and knowledge in order to be able to participate in Surf Life Saving patrol operations. This is the core award to be a surf lifesaver in Australia.

Point Lookout SLSC Boat Crew Certificate

The Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) Crewperson course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively crew an Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) in surf rescue operations.

Point Lookout SLSC First Aid Certificate
The First Aid course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to manage emergency first aid situations until professional medical support is available. *Course only available to patrol members.

Nippers Training Courses

Point Lookout SLSC Age Manager

Age Managers and Assistant Age Managers work with Nippers between the ages of 6 and 13, to develop their surf lifesaving and sport skills, by providing fun, safe and organised nipper activities.
