Bronze Medallion Course (Feb 2022)

Saturday 12th February 2022 – Saturday 12th March 2022 (Date Planner is available on request)

Pre-Requisites for this course are:

* Must be 15 years old

* Must complete an unaided Pool Swim of 400mts in under 9mins (to be signed off by a Club endorsed Assessor or AustSwim Coach)

* Must email your Double Vaccination Certificate to admin@pointlookoutslsc.com.au; this is an SLSQ & VMR requirement.

 

Note: This is a condensed course so participants need to commit to all of the sessions of this course

 

Cost for this course is $130; this includes Patrol Uniform (Shorts, Shirt, Noddy & Cap) and Training Hi-Vis Rash Vest.

Additional Items to purchase are; the online Training Manual, Club Polo & Club Swimwear

IRB Crew Persons Course – 5th February 2022

 

Pre-Requisites for this course are:

* Must hold a current Bronze Medallion

* Must be 15 years old

* Must email your Double Vaccination Certificate to admin@pointlookoutslsc.com.au; this is an SLSQ requirement.

Silver Medallion Beach Management (SMBM) Course – SCB Facilitated

Saturday 19th February 2022, which will run from 8:30am to 3:00pm AEST.

The course will be held at the South Coast Branch Building: 172 Hedges Avenue, Mermaid Beach, QLD 4218

This is the Patrol Captain course, you must hold a proficient Bronze Medallion and be 17yrs of age to attend.

ART (Advance Resuscitation) Course – SCB Facilitated

Sunday 20th February 20222 at Raby Bay VMR

To attend the course you must be:

  • Minimum Age 15
  • Financial member (who holds appropriate Blue Card if over 18 years of age)
  • Hold First Aid (HLTAID011) and be actively patrolling ^

All members who are 18 years old or over, MUST hold a valid Blue Card.

Lifesaver Training Courses

Point Lookout SLSC Surf Rescue Certificate

This course provides participants with skills and knowledge of surf awareness, aquatic rescue operations and resuscitation in order to participate in lifesaving operations and act in the role of Water Safety Personnel.

Point Lookout SLSC Bronze Medallion

The Bronze Medallion course provides participants with the skills and knowledge in order to be able to participate in Surf Life Saving patrol operations. This is the core award to be a surf lifesaver in Australia.

Point Lookout SLSC Boat Crew Certificate

The Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) Crewperson course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively crew an Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) in surf rescue operations.

Point Lookout SLSC First Aid Certificate
The First Aid course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to manage emergency first aid situations until professional medical support is available. *Course only available to patrol members.

Nippers Training Courses

Point Lookout SLSC Age Manager

Age Managers and Assistant Age Managers work with Nippers between the ages of 6 and 13, to develop their surf lifesaving and sport skills, by providing fun, safe and organised nipper activities.
